Altered Canvas - Happily Ever After

Hi There Lovely People,

Today I have an altered canvas to share. I created this one for Sassy Scrappers last year. If you headed to Paperific in Melbourne you may have spied it in the Sassy booth.  Loved putting this one together. Lots of background altering with Prima Color Bloom Sprays and Heidi Swapp Color Shine. I also used the  Prima Aurora Doll Stamp and dressed her up with elements from the delightful Prima Anna Marie Collection.

I have used a flat canvas for this creation. Before adding any colour fun, I applied thick white gesso liberally over the canvas surface. In some areas a little stippled texture was also added. When dry, colour was added to the background with sprays. I used a combination of  Prima Soft Teal and Peony first. Once dried, some masked detail was added with texture paste and a honeycomb stencil. A few chipboard letters and cut lattice pieces were affixed in place and then painted with thick white gesso. Primrose and Mustard Color Shine were then added to the mix.

Aurora was first stamped onto white cardstock using black pigment ink. Her dress elements have been pieced together by stamping onto patterned paperr (Nightingale and Sewing Basket) and cutting around the outside edges. Add a little dimension by affixing these to the stamped cardstock base with foam tape.

Fussy cut blooms from the 'Eloise' paper were tucked in behind the dress form along with Anna Marie chipboard elements.

Pretty Prima flowers complete the sweet transformation.

Thanks so much for dropping by,
